Francis Stuart Chapin
Francis Stuart Chapin ( February 3, 1888 , † July 7, 1974 ) was an American sociologist and 25th President of the American Sociological Association . He taught as a professor at the University of Minnesota and was an influential pioneer of quantitative social research in the United States during the interwar period .
