Franciszek Lilpop

Franciszek Lilpop (born October 30, 1870 in Warsaw ; † October 20, 1937 there) was a Polish architect .

Life

He was the son of Edward and Marie Caroline von Wernerów. After finishing school he went to Riga and attended the Faculty of Architecture at the Technical University there , where he graduated in 1894. In Riga he was also a member of the Welecja student union . His career began in Warsaw with the architect Joseph Dziekonski shortly after he opened his own office. In 1899 he became chief designer at the architect Karol Jankowski , which in 1903 led to the establishment of a company called the architects Franciszek Lilpop and Karol Jankowski .

He was a co-founder of an architectural society in Warsaw and later a member of the delegation of the Association of Polish Architects and Engineers. He was President of the Organizing Committee and later of the Board and Congress of Polish Architects in 1919. In 1925 he was one of the founders of the Architecture and Construction magazine , in which he published articles.

In his final years he was a technical inspector in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Department of Defense . In 1924 he began teaching at the Warsaw University of Technology , Faculty of Architecture.
