Franco Davín (born January 11, 1970 in Pehuajó , Buenos Aires ) is a retired Argentine tennis player .

Career

In his career he won the tournaments of St. Vincent (1989), Palermo (1990) and Bucharest (1994). He reached his best single ranking in the ATP world rankings on October 8, 1990 with place 30; in doubles he was ranked 255 on September 9, 1991. In total, he won $ 1,108,860 in prize money. Davín played his last professional match in February 1997 at a Challenger tournament in Punta Del Este , Uruguay .

Later he was, among other things, captain of the Argentine Davis Cup team . Since mid-2008 he coached the Argentine tennis professional Juan Martín del Potro .
