Franco Lo Cascio

Franco Lo Cascio (born August 29, 1946 in Rome ) is an Italian film director and pornographer .

Life

Lo Cascio joined Fernando Di Leos as assistant director in 1967 and worked in this role on around fifteen genre films until 1974. In 1974 he made his debut with two Franco-Franchi comedies and a dark horror thriller , Un urlo dalle tenebre , which was officially only attributed to co-director Elo Pannacciò and which was filmed as Exorcist II . After an erotic film, Lo Cascio withdrew from directing for a few years and turned to the distribution and import of mostly French pornographic films ( he founded the company "Patrizia Cinematografica" with Diego Spataro ) and then worked as a director for many of them from 1984 onwards Hardcore films. He often worked with Marina Frajese and used the pseudonyms Lucky Faar Delly and Luca Damiano . In 1994 he was responsible for numerous productions together with Joe D'Amato . Lo Cascio is considered one of the most important people in this direction of film. In 1996 his Amleto - per amore di Ofelia won an AVN Award for best European production; his films have received FICEB awards twice.
