FICEB Award

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

FICEB Award is the name given to the Spanish film prize awarded at the Festival Internacional de Cine Erótico de Barcelona (FICEB) since 2001 .

background

During the festival awards will be given for porn films in three different categories: Ninfa ( nymph ) for heterosexual films, "HeatGay" for homosexual films and the Tacón de Aguja ( high heels or stiletto heels ) for BDSM and fetish films.

The festival has been held annually in September since 1992. Since 1997 it has been held at the La Farga Convention Center in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat , a city outside of Barcelona . In 2005 the event was recognized by the local government. In 2006, however, the government decided not to renew the contract with the festival, so it has to look for a new location for 2008.

Compared to the Hot D'Or film award festival in Cannes , the festival is less exclusive, but more comprehensive. The five-day festival includes not only the award ceremony and star appearances, but also hundreds of striptease and live sex shows as well as a lingerie show and a fair for erotic products. The festival counted around 50,000 visitors in 2005 and 2006.

In 2008, the Ninfa Awards ceremony was held in Florida Park on June 25th. During the gala dinner, which was attended by around 350 people, the Italian director Mario Salieri received the “Liftetime Career Award”.
