Industry, market segment and economic information

Private has been producing pornographic films since 1992 , initially mainly in the gonzo style. In the early 21st century, many production companies were forced to cut costs as prices fell with amateur gonzo films flooding the market. As a result, the quality and level of porn films generally fell. However, Private went a different way and from now on mainly made high-class films. For example, private films cost an average of $ 100,000, which is about five times the average production costs of a pornographic film.

In fiscal year 2004, the company had sales of $ 48.3 million. The main sales markets are South and North America as well as Europe, especially Sweden and Spain.
