Frangelico is an Italian hazelnut liqueur with 20% vol. comes from the Italian Piedmont . The brand has been part of Gruppo Campari since 2010 .

Frangelico is said to owe its name to a brother Angelico ( Italian fratello angelico ), a Christian monk from the northern Italian province of Piedmont , which is known for food and drinks. Fra 'Angelico is said to have laid the foundation stone for Frangelico as early as the 18th century when he first made it from hazelnuts "Tonda Gentile".

According to the list of ingredients, today's liqueur consists of water, sugar, alcohol , hazelnut distillate (1%), flavors and color caramel . Frangelico is sold in a bottle, the shape of which is supposed to be reminiscent of a monk in a cowl and which has a cord around the "waist". Frangelico is drunk straight, with lime or over ice.
