Frank Ahearn
Franklin Thomas Ahearn (born May 10, 1886 in Ottawa , Ontario , † November 17, 1962 ) was the owner of the Ottawa Senators , an ice hockey team in the National Hockey League .
After his service in World War I , he began to be interested in amateur hockey. He quickly realized that professional ice hockey would give his hometown a new face. Even his father Thomas Ahearn was a key figure in Ottawa when he accompanied it on its way to the city in the 19th century.
During his leadership, the Senators won the Stanley Cup four times .
In 1962, Frank Ahearn was honored with the induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame .
