Frank Cowell
Frank A. Cowell is Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He conducts research in the areas of income and wealth distribution , inequality , poverty and taxation .
After attending Ardingly College in Sussex, he studied at Trinity College, Cambridge University , where he did his PhD in economics after completing his BA and MA. Cowell briefly lectured in economics at Keele University before joining the LSE in 1977. From 1988 to 2001 he was co-editor of the Journal of Public Economics there .
Cowell is editor of Economica and co-publisher of both the Hacienda Pública Española / Revista de Economía Publica and the Journal of Income Inequality . He is Director of the Distributional Analysis Research Program at the Suntory-Toyota International Center for Economics and Related Disciplines (STICERD).
