Frank Eger

Frank Eger (* 1959) is a member of the SPD and was from 2001 to 2014 District Administrator of the district Oldenburg .

In April 2012, Eger was targeted by the Lower Saxony judiciary, which is investigating him for possible corruption offenses. Since January 2014, he was officially on sick leave, which was in connection with a charge on suspicion of taking advantage. With the indictment, he renounced the renewed candidacy as district administrator for the district. The trial against him began on October 20, 2014 at the Oldenburg regional court for accepting benefits totaling 130,000 euros. On December 19, 2014, the Oldenburg Regional Court sentenced him to one year and ten months' conditional imprisonment and a fine of € 40,000. On August 25, 2015, this judgment became final after Eger's appeal was rejected by the Federal Court of Justice .

In the second direct election on September 10, 2006, Frank Eger received 68.2% of the votes as incumbent, his opponent Gero von Daniels (CDU) received 31.8%.
