Frank Emilio Flynn
Frank Emilio Flynn Rodríguez (born April 13, 1921 in Havana ; † August 23, 2001 there ) was a Cuban pianist.
Life
Flynn, who was blind at the age of 13, was initially self-taught in music, but studied with the help of the further development of the Braille system at the Cuban National Association for the Blind . There he also developed his own musical braille system. He was later president of the Association for the Blind from 1981 to 1987.
His most successful and best-known compositions and interpretations are characterized by the South American flair with light jazz influences (Latin jazz), although he also played classical piano evenings at times.
