Frank Sonntag is a German cardiologist .

Career

Sonntag is a specialist in internal medicine and cardiology in Henstedt-Ulzburg . He was one of the founding members of the Federal Association of Resident Cardiologists (BNK) and was its first chairman from 1990 to 2002. After leaving office, he was made honorary chairman. He also works as a sports physician. He was the first chairman of the Hamburg Sports Medical Association for 21 years. In 2001 he was co-founder of the Council Cardiology Practice (CCP) of the European Society of Cardiology and its vice-president. From 2006 to 2008 he was the first German Chairman of the Council for Cardiology Practice.
