Lyndon Brook

Lyndon Brook (born April 10, 1926 in York , England , † January 9, 2004 in London ) was a British actor .

Life

Lyndon Brook was the son of two actors Clive Brook and Mildred Evelyn . While his father was still in Hollywood , he grew up in England with his older sister, later actress Faith Brook . He himself attended Stowe private school and made his first acting experience at the University of Cambridge . After he played a small film role in Trottie tanzt ins Glück in 1949 , he received an offer from Laurence Olivier in 1951 to play in his theater company at St James's Theater . During this time he met his future wife, actress Elizabeth Kentish , with whom he remained married until his death. From the mid-1950s he was seen in films such as Flames over the Far East , Defying All Violence and The Spanish Gardener .

In parallel with acting, Brook also wrote. He was one of the scriptwriters for the 1971 television drama Gemengd dubbel . He also wrote and directed several theatrical productions.

Brook died on January 9, 2004 at the age of 77. He left his wife and two daughters together.
