Franke Previte
Franke Jon Previte is an American singer , composer , songwriter, and record producer from New Brunswick , New Jersey .
In 1980 he founded the band Franke & The Knockouts , which had a top 10 hit in the USA in 1981 with “Sweetheart”.
In 1988 Previte received an Oscar and a Golden Globe as co-composer of the song " (I've Had) The Time of My Life " for the soundtrack to the film Dirty Dancing . Another well-known movie song, " Hungry Eyes ", was also by him and was originally a demo song by his own band.
As a music producer, Previte worked for Fleetwood Mac and Cyndi Lauper, among others .
