The Frankfurter Straße is a 3.2 km long north-south traffic artery in the Hessian town of Wetzlar . It begins in the Wetzlar district of Büblingshausen and ends in Wetzlar's old town. It is the most important southern access road and one of the busiest streets in Wetzlar.

Course and street description

The road begins at the southern tip of Wetzlar on the state road from the direction of Hüttenberg . From here it runs northwards from the crossroads in the direction of Münchholzhausen as a four-lane main road to the junction of Bergstrasse, which continues on four lanes from there. Then it continues to the goldfish pond, but no longer as a main traffic axis, but rather as a small side street.

The Frankfurter Straße is used by several bus routes. Lines 11, 12 and 12a travel almost the entire length of the street. In addition, the overland line 312 to Rechtenbach and in the evening traffic the line 007 on Frankfurter Straße.
