Franklin and Bristol Railroad

The Franklin and Bristol Railroad is a former railroad company in New Hampshire ( United States ). It was founded on July 8, 1846 and built a 20.65 kilometer line that branched off the main line of the Northern Railroad in Franklin and ran north along the west bank of the Pemigewasset River to Bristol . It was opened at the end of 1847. In April 1848, the Northern Railroad leased Franklin & Bristol and finally bought the line on January 31, 1849. The line was closed in 1940.
