The Frans Indongo Group is one of the largest Namibian corporate groups .
The Frans Indongo Group was founded by Frans Indongo in Ovamboland in the 1950s, although Indongo's first business was in Walvis Bay . As one of the few blacks , Indongo succeeded in further expanding his corporate empire during apartheid .
Initially, Indongo focused on retail . It was only since 2007 that the company has diversified and has bought into various business areas, including manufacturing , marketing and distribution, and real estate . Today the automobile trade is one of the most important pillars of the group. Investments were also made in the hotel industry .
