František Novák is a former Czechoslovakian ski jumper .

From 1974 Novák regularly jumped in jumping in the Four Hills Tournament . At the Ski Flying World Championships 1977 in Vikersund Novák flew to 6th place.

On December 30, 1979, he competed in Oberstdorf in his first ski jumping World Cup . Since he only reached 52nd place, he then took a break from competition and started again on February 26, 1981 in Chamonix in the World Cup. He achieved the best result of his career with 5th place. At the Four Hills Tournament 1981/82 he was again unsuccessful and was only able to jump into the top ten with 8th place in ski flying on the Kulm on March 12, 1982. At the end of the season he finished 48th in the overall World Cup ranking.
