Franz Anderle (officer)
Franz Anderle (born March 8, 1874 in Graz , † July 29, 1957 in Lienz ) was an Austrian officer. He served in the Austro-Hungarian -Heer Austria as a major general. He was also a pioneer of the Austrian amateur radio movement .
Military career
- 18? Transfer to the pioneer cadet school in Hainburg
- 1896 Assignment to the railway and telegraph regiment in Korneuburg
- 1901 appointed lieutenant
- 1911–1912 superior of the radio department of the telegraph regiment
- 1912–1918 manager of various radio stations in the War Ministry
- 1923–1931 weapons inspector in the liaison forces
Working for the amateur radio
In 1925, Franz Anderle was the founder and first chairman of the Austrian Association of Experimental Broadcasters , the national association of Austrian radio amateurs, and he represented the country when the International Amateur Radio Union was founded in Paris.
