Franz Dittelbach

Franz Dittelbach (born November 3, 1883 in Vienna ; † October 24, 1941 ) was an Austrian politician ( SDAP ) and railway master. Dittelbach was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1922 to 1934 .

After attending primary and community school, Dittelbach completed an apprenticeship as a bookbinder and in 1905 joined the Austrian Federal Railways. He lived in Gloggnitz and was active as a union and party official. After he was elected to the municipal council in 1918 , he held the office of mayor from 1919. Dittelbach represented the SDAP from September 14, 1922 in the Lower Austrian state parliament and was deputy chairman of the financial control committee from 1927 to 1934. In the course of the Austrian civil war and the ban on the Social Democratic Workers' Party, Dittelbacher's mandate in the state parliament was revoked on February 16, 1934, and he also lost his office as mayor. Dittelbach was sentenced to ten months in prison in 1934 and subsequently worked as an insurance agent in Vienna from 1936.
