Franz Durant
Franz Karl Durant (born January 26, 1927 in Aachen ; † August 5, 2015 ) was a German administrative officer.
Career
Durant was from April 1, 1963 to December 31, 1974 community director (from 1972: city director) of Wesseling . After he took office, around 400 apartments and several schools were built annually. These urban development achievements were the main reason for the city elevation in 1972. In 1975 he was an influential opponent of the incorporation of Wesseling into Cologne.
