Franz Eger

Franz Eger (born March 6, 1889 in Altenfeld , † February 15, 1956 in Hildesheim ) was a German politician.

Life

Eger was a senator in Hildesheim from 1927 to 1933 . From August 1 to December 1, 1945 he was appointed Lord Mayor of the city by the British military government , and then until June 1946 he was provisional its first city ​​director .

He was a member of the appointed Lower Saxony State Parliament from December 9, 1946 to March 28, 1947. He was also a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament for the SPD from July 10, 1947 to May 5, 1955 in the first and second electoral periods .

In 1963, the district of Hildesheim Drispenstedt the Franz-Eger street named after him.
