Franz Erntl

Franz Erntl (born January 5, 1902 in Sollenau , Lower Austria ; † December 22, 1990 in Neufeld an der Leitha , Burgenland ) was an Austrian painter and teacher at the secondary school in Neufeld an der Leitha.

Life

Franz Erntl studied from 1917 to 1920 at the teacher training college in St. Pölten and from 1926 to 1930 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Karl Sterrer . He worked as a teacher in Burgenland from 1923 to 1963 and lived in Neufeld an der Leitha from 1926 until his death in 1990. In 1973 he was awarded the title of professor.

Franz Erntl was married to Maria Erntl (1912–1995).

Act

Artistically, Erntl's oeuvre ranges from oil paintings to various graphic techniques, but only painting accompanies him through his entire work.
