Franz Prince

Franz Fürst (born September 10, 1920 in Wiener Neudorf ; † April 29, 2005 in Wiener Neustadt ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and businessman. From 1969 to 1985 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament .

After elementary and secondary school, Fürst attended a commercial school and then worked as a salesman. Between 1939 and 1945 he was employed in the Reich Labor Service and in the Air Force during the Second World War , where he was taken prisoner by the Soviets. After his return from captivity, he was the commissioned head of the Vienna community in Wiener Neudorf from 1945 to 1952 and, after the reintegration of the Neudorf community into Lower Austria, mayor of the community from 1955 to 1990. Fürst represented the SPÖ from November 20, 1969 to November 4, 1985 in the state parliament of Lower Austria.
