Franz Freidhof

Franz Freidhof (* 1874 in Würzburg ; † 1958 there ) was a German painter and lithographer.

He created numerous paintings and designed emergency notes, certificates and other printed matter.

Life

Freidhof attended the Würzburg craft school from 1888 to 1892 and then went on to do an apprenticeship in lithography at the Stürtz university printing company, for which he later worked. But he also worked as a freelance artist. From 1896 he studied with Nikolaus Gysis at the Munich Art Academy .

After the bomb attack on Würzburg on March 16, 1945, he lived and worked in Thüngersheim until 1950 .
