Franz Grassmann
Franz Grassmann (born March 20, 1987 ) is an Austrian cyclist .
Athletic career
Grassmann was first in the 1000 m time trial at the Austrian track cycling championships in the youth class in 2003 . He also became runner-up in scratch and sprint and won the bronze medal in the single pursuit .
The following year he was national road racing champion in the junior class
In the adult area, Grassmann drove for the Austrian Continental Team RC Arbö Resch & Frisch Gourmetfein Wels from 2008-2010 . He won the silver medal at the Austrian U23 road championships in 2009 and was fifth in the elite race. In order to be able to devote himself entirely to his studies, he ended his career in 2011 in the team of Franz Stocher , the Lower Austrian Rad Union . In addition, he had not been able to fully recover from a fall in 2009 in which vertebrae had shifted.
