Franz Haaser

Franz Haaser (born October 5, 1886 - † January 7, 1971 ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Career

During his studies, Haaser became a member of the AGV Munich . After completing his studies, he was a member of the government at the state tax office in Kassel . From 1920 to 1930 he worked in the Reich Ministry for the Occupied Territories and in the Reich Treasury . In 1930 he moved as a ministerial advisor to the Audit Office of the German Reich . In 1937 he became director at the Court of Auditors and head of the Hamburg external department.

After the end of the Second World War he was from December 1, 1946 to May 29, 1949 President of the Audit Office of the German Reich in the British Zone . A commission set up in March 1948 by the Administration for Finance of the United Economic Area to review savings opportunities in the Administration for Economy bore his name.
