Franz Haunschmidt

Franz Haunschmidt (born June 5, 1902 in Sandl ; † May 26, 1975 in Linz ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and businessman. From 1945 to 1962 he was a member of the National Council .

Life

After primary school, Haunschmidt attended the community and trade school and from 1933 worked as a businessman in Freistadt , taking over the Anton Müller wholesaler that year. He was active as a deputy chairman of the Federal Chamber of Commerce and was active as vice-president of the Association of Austrian Sugar Wholesalers. He also acted as chairman of the Braucommune Freistadt and was chairman of the supervisory board of Volksbank Freistadt as well as a member of the supervisory board of the pension insurance company for the commercial economy in the supervisory committee and member of the supervisory board of the apartment friends in Linz. He worked as Mayor of Freistadt between May 8, 1945 and November 25, 1945 and represented the ÖVP in the National Council between December 19, 1945 and December 14, 1962.

Private

Haunschmidt was married and the father of three children.
