Franz Hietl
Franz Hietl (born July 20, 1931 in Engabrunn ) is a former Austrian politician ( ÖVP ), cellar master and winemaker. From 1970 to 1986 Hietl was a member of the Austrian National Council .
Life
After primary school, Hietl attended the rural technical college in Krems and passed the master's examination for viticulture and cellar management. He worked in his parents' business and was a self-employed farmer from 1956, mainly dealing with viticulture. Hietl was awarded the professional title of Economics Council in 1983 . From 1960 to 1970 he was involved as a district chamber councilor, was chairman of the Langenlois district chamber of farmers from 1970 and chairman of the Lower Austria winegrowing association from 1980. In addition, from 1980 Hietl held the position of chairman of the Krems winegrowers' cooperative and from 1978 was the main district party chairman of the ÖVP Krems. Hietl represented the ÖVP in the National Council between March 31, 1970 and December 16, 1986.
