Göran Nordahl

Göran Nordahl (born November 22, 1928 in Hörnefors ) is a former Swedish football player .

Athletic career

Nordahl comes from a large family of footballers. Analogous to his brothers Gunnar , Bertil and Knut Nordahl, he began his football career in his hometown at Hörnefors IF . Together with his twin brother Gösta Nordahl , he was invited by trainer Carl-Elis Halldén to a trial training session at IFK Norrköping . After both convinced, they ran for the club in the Allsvenskan . While Gösta was able to get stuck in the team, Göran fell short of expectations. Disappointed, he returned to his hometown club after only one season, where he continued his career in a lower class. He later worked as a functionary for the association after the end of his active career.
