Franz Hornegger

Franz Hornegger (born January 16, 1953 in Schwarzach im Pongau ) is an Austrian farmer and politician ( FPÖ / BZÖ ). Hornegger was a member of the National Council from 1999 to 2002 .

education and profession

Hornegger attended compulsory school and the polytechnic course from 1959 to 1968 and graduated from the agricultural college in Tamsweg from 1970 to 1972 . He has been a farmer since 1972, and between 1972 and 1973 he did military service.

politics

Hornegger was a member of the Salzburg state parliament from 1994 to 1999 and has been a councilor in Untertauern since 1986 . Hornegger was Chamber Councilor of the Chamber of Agriculture and Forestry from 1994 to 1999 and represented the FPÖ in the National Council from October 29, 1999 and December 19, 2002. He was also a member of the state party leadership, deputy district chairman and state agriculture spokesman.

After Hornegger had fallen out with state party leader Karl Schnell , he entered the 2004 municipal council election with the “Party-Free List Hornegger” (PFH) in Untertauern and achieved 19.1% of the vote and two seats. After the split in the FPÖ, Hornegger ran for the 2006 National Council election on the BZÖ's state list.

Private

Franz Hornegger has been married since 1980 and has three children.
