Franz Josef Schwoy
Franz Josef Schwoy , also František Josef Schwoy (* December 11, 1742 Gross Herrlitz ; † October 10, 1806 Nikolsburg ) was a Moravian archivist , topographer and princely castle captain.
Schwoy was an official of the Princely Dietrichstein Domain of Nikolsburg and published the first comprehensive topography of Moravia. In his research he relied on numerous sources and original manuscripts from the 14th to 16th centuries, some of which no longer exist today.
