Franz Klinger

Franz Klinger (born October 11, 1893 , † March 7, 1975 ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and civil engineering contractor. Klinger was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament from 1948 to 1949 .

Klinger attended elementary and community school and then completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer. Klinger did military service between 1914 and 1918, where he was taken prisoner in Italy. Klinger was employed as a foreman from 1919 and in 1924 became the trade union district secretary. From 1934 to 1938 he was unemployed, after the Nazis came to power he was arrested on short notice in 1938. He was then a site manager, most recently as a civil engineering contractor.

Klinger was a councilor in Baden from 1929 to 1934 and from 1945 to 1952 , and between September 29, 1948 and November 5, 1949 he was a member of the Lower Austrian state parliament, replacing Willi Grafeneder .
