Franz Kuhn (surgeon)
Franz Kuhn (born October 12, 1866 in Aschaffenburg , † March 28, 1929 in Berlin ) was a German surgeon .
Kuhn studied in Würzburg, Berlin and Munich and received his doctorate in Würzburg in 1891. In 1899 he became director of the Elisabeth Hospital in Kassel.
In 1911 he published the book Peroral Intubation . Together with Dräger he developed the Kuhn-Dräger anesthetic machine . However, Ferdinand Sauerbruch's resistance prevented the introduction of intubation in Germany.
