Franz Lutz

Franz Lutz (born July 24, 1957 in Stuttgart ) is a German police officer and has been President of the Stuttgart Police Headquarters since 2013 .

Professional background

Franz Lutz took up the police service of the state police of Baden-Württemberg in 1973 in the middle service with the riot police in Göppingen and stayed there until 1975. Then he moved to the police headquarters in Stuttgart, what was then the state police department of Stuttgart II. From 1979 to 1985 he was with the police department Reutlingen in public relations. With his promotion to the senior police force in 1985, he took over the management of the public relations department in Reutlingen until 1988. From 1988 to 1993 he was head of the public relations department in the Tübingen state police department. In 1993 Franz Lutz was accepted into the higher service and then remained in the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg until 2002. Then he switched back to the state police department in Tübingen as head of department 64 (management and operations) and as deputy head of the department for police tasks. From 2004 he headed the command and task force at the Reutlingen police department and was deputy head of the police department. He then headed the Reutlingen Police Department from 2005.

Franz Lutz has been President of the Stuttgart Police Headquarters since August 2013.
