Brézins is a French commune with 2,132 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; administratively it belongs to the arrondissement Vienne and is part of the canton Bièvre (until 2015: canton Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs ).

Brézins is located about 37 kilometers west-northwest of Grenoble at the foot of the Chartreuse massif and on the small river Le Rival . Brézins is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Gillonnay in the north, Saint-Hilaire-de-la-Côte in the northeast, Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs in the east, Saint-Pierre-de-Bressieux in the south, Saint-Siméon-de- Bressieux in the west and La Côte-Saint-André in the north-west.

The former route nationale 519 (today's D119) runs through the municipality .
