Bougé-Chambalud is a French commune with 1,375 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Vienne and the canton of Roussillon . The inhabitants are called Bougérards / Bougérois or Chambalaires / Chambalairois .

Bougé-Chambalud is located about 21 kilometers south of Vienne on the small river Dolon . Bougé-Chambalud is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Anjou and Sonnay in the north, Jarcieu in the east and northeast, Épinouze in the east and southeast, Anneyron in the south, Saint-Rambert-d'Albon in the southwest, Chanas in the west and Agnin in the northwest.
