Jarcieu is a French commune with 1,037 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Vienne and the canton of Roussillon (until 2015: canton of Beaurepaire ).
geography
Jarcieu is located about 17 kilometers south-southeast of Vienne on the Dolon , which borders the municipality in the south. Jarcieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities Bellegarde-Poussieu in the north, Pact in the east and northeast, Lapeyrouse-Mornay in the southeast, Épinouze in the south, Bougé-Chambalud in the west and southwest and Sonnay in the northwest.
