La Chapelle-de-Surieu is about 14 kilometers south-southeast of Vienne . The municipality is crossed by the Sanne River. La Chapelle-de-Surieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Assieu in the north and northwest, Montseveroux in the northeast, Bellegarde-Poussieu in the east, Sonnay in the south, Ville-sous-Anjou in the southwest and Saint-Romain-de-Surieu in the west.
