Roybon is a French commune in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Roybon is located about 40 km west of Grenoble in the Pre-Alps, on the upper reaches of the Galaure River .

The place has 1157 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), its area extends to 67 km². M. Marcel Bachasson has been mayor since 2001. His term of office ends in 2014.

A three-meter-high faithful copy of the Statue of Liberty of New York and the Chambarand Monastery have been located in Roybon since 1906 . The church of St-Jean-Baptiste was built from bricks in the 19th century in neo-Romanesque style.
