Royas is a French municipality with 396 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement Vienne and the canton Bièvre (until 2015: canton Saint-Jean-de-Bournay ). The inhabitants are called Royassois .

geography

Royas is about 18 kilometers east-southeast of Vienne . Royas is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Charantonnay in the north, Saint-Jean-de-Bournay in the east, Villeneuve-de-Marc in the south, Savas-Mépin in the southwest and Beauvoir-de-Marc in the west and northwest.
