Auberives-sur-Varèze is a French commune with 1,484 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement Vienne and the canton Vienne-2 (until 2015: canton Roussillon ). The inhabitants are called Auberivois .

geography

Auberives-sur-Varèze is about 12 kilometers south-southwest of Vienne . The Varèze flows through the municipality , into which the small river Suzon flows. Auberives-sur-Varèze is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Prim in the north and north-west, Cheyssieu in the east, Assieu in the south-east, Roussillon in the south and Clonas-sur-Varèze in the west.

Autoroute A7 and Route nationale 7 run through the municipality .
