Pajay is a French commune with 1,146 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Pajay belongs administratively to the Arrondissement Vienne and is part of the canton Bièvre (until 2015: canton La Côte-Saint-André ). The community belongs to the Communauté de communes Bièvre Isère . The inhabitants are called Pajaytois .

Pajay is located 30 kilometers southeast of Vienne . Pajay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pommier-de-Beaurepaire in the north and west, Faramans in the northeast, Penol in the east and northeast, Marcilloles in the east and southeast, Thodure in the southeast and Beaufort in the south.
