Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017
The reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017 resulted in the 24 municipalities of Beaufort , Bressieux , Brézins , Brion , Châtenay , La Forteresse , La Frette , Lentiol , Marcilloles , Marcollin , Marnans , Montfalcon , Plan , Roybon , Saint-Clair-sur-Galaure , Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs , Saint-Geoirs , Saint-Michel-de-Saint-Geoirs , Saint-Paul-d'Izeaux , Saint-Pierre-de-Bressieux , Saint-Siméon-de-Bressieux , Sillans , Thodure and Viriville from the Arrondissement of Grenoble and the municipality of Longechenal from the Arrondissement of La Tour-du-Pin are assigned to the Arrondissement of Vienne. The six municipalities of Anthon , Charvieu-Chavagneux , Chavanoz , Janneyrias , Pont-de-Chéruy , Villette-d'Anthon and the area of the former municipality of Eclose moved from the Arrondissement of Vienne to the Arrondissement of La Tour-du-Pin.
