Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017
As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017, the two municipalities Confort and Lancrans became out of the Arrondissement Gex , the municipality Chanay from the Arrondissement Belley and the four municipalities Neuville-sur-Ain , Pont-d'Ain , Priay and Varambon from the Arrondissement Bourg -en-Bresse assigned to the Arrondissement of Nantua. The two municipalities Champdor-Corcelles and Haut Valromey were assigned to the Arrondissement Belley from the Arrondissement of Nantua.
