Longechenal is about 39 kilometers northwest of Grenoble . Longechenal is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Eydoche in the north and northwest, Bizonnes in the north and northeast, Châbons in the east and northeast, Le Grand-Lemps in the east, Bévenais in the southeast, La Frette in the south, and Saint-Hilaire-de-la-Côte in the Southwest as well as mottier in the west.
