Cheyssieu is about ten kilometers south-southwest of Vienne . Cheyssieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Les Côtes-d'Arey in the north and northeast, Vernioz in the east, Assieu in the south and southeast and Auberives-sur-Varèze in the west.
