Georg Gimpl

Georg Gimpl (born February 22, 1887 in Peggau , Styria , † July 20, 1947 in Vienna ) was an Austrian Catholic clergyman and politician of the Christian Social Party (CSP).

Life

After attending elementary school and high school , he studied Catholic theology and was ordained a priest. In 1910 he was at the University of Graz for Dr. theol. PhD. He became pastor of Wettmannstätten in Styria.

From March 4, 1919 to November 9, 1920 he was a member of the Constituent National Assembly and from November 10, 1920 to May 18, 1927 a member of the National Council ( 1st and 2nd legislative period ).
