Brion is a French municipality with 144 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; administratively it belongs to the arrondissement Vienne and is part of the canton Bièvre (until 2015: canton Saint-Étienne-de-Saint-Geoirs ). The inhabitants are called Brionnais .

Brion is located about 32 kilometers west-northwest of Grenoble at the foot of the Chartreuse massif . Brion is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Geoirs in the north, Saint-Michel-de-Saint-Geoirs in the east, Serre-Nerpol in the southeast, Chasselay in the south and Saint-Pierre-de-Bressieux in the west.
