It belongs to the Vienne arrondissement and the Vienne-2 canton (until 2015: Vienne-Sud canton ) and the Pays Viennois municipal association . The inhabitants are called Eyzinois (es) .

Eyzin-Pinet is located in the Dauphiné region on the Gère River . Eyzin-Pinet is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Moidieu-Détourbe in the north, Savas-Mépin in the northeast, Meyssiez in the east, Cour-et-Buis in the south and southeast, Montseveroux in the south and southwest, Saint-Sorlin-de-Vienne in the west as well Estrablin in the northwest.
